Greystones Water Safety Day
Poseidon lifesaving club were asked to participate at the Greystones Water safety day. This is an annual event hosted by the Greystones An Garda Siochana, to spread the important message of water safety. Joining the Garda and ourselves were the Greystones Coast guard, RNLI, Civil Defence, Greystones First Responders and the Greystones Fire Brigade. A great day was had even though the weather let us down a bit. As you can see from the photos, we managed to get all of the emergency service there to learn a few boards skills.

Bray Lakers – 24 Hours of CPR
From 8am Saturday until 8am Sunday, all of our Survive & Save swimmers banded together to raise money for a local charity, Bray Lakers. Each group of four/five volunteers did half hour shifts through the whole day and night. While not on the manakin mat, they were teaching adult, child, and infant CPR and infant choking to the public. They also held a large raffle with amazing prizes to raise as much as possible. In total, we raised over €4,000.
